Larry Copeland has proved to be a master drummer both on the congas and the trap drum set. His timing is reminiscent of Los Angeles jazz master drummer Mr. Billy Higgins, who was my neighbor in Leimert Park Los Angeles.
Denver has never before seen a more extraordinary individual. Besides being a D.J. for KUVO Jazz Radio for 19 years, he has performed in and around Denver for even longer.
If you want to have fun and hear music you haven’t experienced live for a number of years, L.C.'s Latin Groove will persuade you to stop by and enjoy the rhymic sounds by L. C. on Congas and a special trap set he designed, with members Mr. Joe McManis on jazz violin and vocals, Gary Kirshenheuter coming straight from the Bayou on lead guitar, and a young Daniel Moran on both piano and trumpet, Steve (Stevie) Romaro on saxophone, Larry Henley on bass and Jacque Parkison lead vocals, as well as the "in-house-poet", Jamaal As-Salaam making this CD very, very special.
Dance music is slowly disappearing. But with the Latin jazz sound of L.C. and his band, you can still enjoy the “Old School” music the way it was supposed to be with a few twists. He has made it his life’s ambition to deliver the best quality for all of your events and parties.
